Is it possible to play Diablo Expansion with a friend that has the original Diablo 2? Like will we see the same or different monsters? Can he not enter certain lvls or can we connect at all? Or does he HAVE to upgrade?

He cant, he has to have the Lord of Destruction Expansion.

There is a possible way to play with a normal d2 player when u have expansion.

Steps:

-Create new character

-click on Expansion Char(hardcore, ladder if u want)

-There u go, its a normal d2 player, lol

But you need the expansion to make it a Expansion char ? ..

yeah I mean really though they may as well get the expansion it's much easier and really cheap now probably and all the mods are for the expansion so it's way more fun Very Happy

really the only way is creating a charater in normal d2 or he upgrades to LOD
